Astrid grew up in a small town on the outskirts of Gridania to a mother and father who used to be famous dancers in their time. Wanting that fame for herself, she journeyed to Limsa and joined the troupe that was performing there, befriending Ranaa. During the Calamity, she and her parents went to Sharlayan for refuge, leaving their old lives behind. During that time, she met some of the Scions and became friends with them. They moved back to their small town shortly after, with her not seeing her new friends until during ARR.During ARR, Astrid is visiting her family in Gridania after being in Ul’Dah at the Gold Saucer when she’s asked to help with various tasks for the Adventurer’s Guild. She would meet Papalymo and “Yda” while helping at the stump. After going to Limsa, she would join the troupe performing there, befriending their best dancer Ranaa Mhigo and learning how to be a better performer. The Scions would send an invitation to join them after they move to Mor Dhona, with her accepting. In that time, she’d go with the warrior of light to the Crystal Tower and see G’raha again. The two of them would chat for a while, with both of them talking about what the other was up to. Though, when he locks himself in the tower, she’s not the same and ends up pouring herself into her work entirely, not focusing on what’s happening around her. When the Banquet happens, she’s at the Gold Saucer fixing round after round of drinks for some guests who happened to hear rumors about the Banquet. After learning about the disappearances from them, she writes letter after letter to whoever remains, wanting a full explanation.During HW and Stormblood, Astrid would be with the troupe as well as helping the Scions with whatever they needed, including helping free Doma and Ala Mhigo. After that, she’d continue to work at the Gold Saucer, still serving drinks and other refreshments that people needed after all of the fun activities and gambling. Occasionally, the Warrior of Light and some of the Scions would stop by to visit her while she’s working.During Shadowbringers, Astrid would go to the Crystal Tower before leaving for work, trying to tell G’raha about how she’s been doing and everything, including how she felt about the Scions and Warrior of Light being in another world. When he wakes up with the Exarch’s memories, thanks to the Warrior of Light, the first thing he does besides joining the Scions is visit Astrid at her job. The two of them embrace each other and he kisses her, apologizing for leaving her.During EW, she helps in the fight against Garlemald, though leaves as soon as the Scions make their way to the moon and to fight Meteion. When they come back later on, she’s there to welcome them all home with open arms and a bright smile on her face. When the Scions disband, she goes back to being a server at the Gold Saucer, eventually getting a raise and becoming a bartender in the lounge. She and G’raha go on many dates during this time, eventually planning their wedding.
